🥇 Best Overall: Shinjuku

  • Pros:
    • Massive transport hub (JR, Metro, Narita Express, airport buses)
    • Huge range of hotels (from capsule to luxury)
    • Tons of restaurants, shopping, nightlife
    • Foreign language menus and hotel staff often available
  • ⚠️ Cons:
    • Can feel crowded or overwhelming (especially around the station)
    • Kabukicho area may feel a bit sketchy at night

    Book hotels on the west side of the station (e.g. near Park Hyatt or Hilton) for a calmer, cleaner atmosphere.
